The honest take on AI testing
"All tests passed" should mean you are safe to ship. Lately it often does not.
AI can write a thousand tests in an afternoon. It cannot tell you which thousand matter. Left alone, it writes tests that pass while checking nothing real, it sticks to the easy paths where bugs rarely live, and when a test fails it tends to rewrite the test instead of flagging the bug.
We use AI for what it is good at, which is doing a lot of coverage quickly. Then we put senior engineers on the part AI cannot do, which is judging whether all that green actually means good. You get the speed of automation and a human who makes sure your coverage number means something.
